      Hi all,

There seems to be a prevalent issue that has existed through several updates. When a Nether Portal is created in the Overworld and travelled through, it successfully creates one in the Nether. However, upon trying to return via the portal in the Nether, it may not have linked to the original Overworld portal, instead generating a new one in a completely different location. It may do this thousands of blocks away from the original, or link to another portal that has perhaps been created far away in another base for example.

I believe it is coordinate related; The only fix I have found is to delete the portal generated in the Nether and then calculate where it should have generated, and rebuild it. This seems to mostly work, however every now and then it may still spit you out in the middle of nowhere.

A quick browse of the r/Minecraft Subreddit shows this seems to be an issue for a large group of people (one poor sod ended up over 100,000 blocks away!), and even potentially a similar issue with end portals however I have not tested this one personally.

      Thank you!
