I’m playing minecraft on the iPad Pro 2020, and get render distance options ranging from 8-48. 8 and 16 work totally fine, however anything above that the ‘fog’ that hides things as they pop in in the distance disappears, so you see the ugly effect of all the blocks popping in and out, and none of the options are any different. 24, 32, 40 and 48 are all literally identical with this same issue, and the render distance doesn’t change at all between them like it should. 48 shows no more distance than 24. It’s like there’s a certain render distance between 16-24 that breaks it, stops it going any further even if you pick higher options, and ruins the aesthetics with the fog no longer being there.

I have however realised that if I turn off the fancy graphics option, all these render distances now work and render to the correct distance with the fog. So while it’s not unplayable at higher distances, surely you shouldn’t have to turn off fancy graphics to be able to play at anything above 16?
