When I create a new world or enter a pre-existing one, crafting doesn't work correctly.  All of the items show up in the recipe section but they have a red background even though I have the correct resources to craft them.  I can't make a crafting table in my 2x2 matrix.  The items graphics also appear off.  The biggest example of this are the torches.  They are missing the center portion when they are drawn in the world.

I suspect some sort of corrupted global resource pack, but I don't know how to restore it.  I am not using any custom resource packs, skins, etc.
