Colour codes are not the same shade as they were before the dye colouring update

Using colour codes or dye now will result in a darker shade of colour than before the update. This is frustrating as I am halfway through building an adventure map with various info sections that follow a style. It looks off having the info sections switch colours midway through the map. Not only that but they are much less flashy and harder to read. I'd settle for turning all existing signs into the new shade, I just can't be asked to go back and redo them all.
