This is an issue that cropped up around the time of Render Dragon's release, and has affected everyone I've seen playing the game- mobile, pc, xbox, etc.

The intended behavior for crossbows in first person is that an unloaded crossbow is held at the right of the screen, after loading the crossbow, it'll be moved to the center of the screen and held there with a unique "breathing" animation. If the player holds a shield with a loaded crossbow, it'll be moved to it's "default" position on the right of the screen again, however this is entirely reversed. Upon loading a crossbow without a shield, it'll be to the right of the screen, and if you equip a shield with the crossbow, it'll move to the center of the screen, causing the first person animations to make no sense.

      How to reproduce:

      • Equip a crossbow in Survival or Creative
      • Load the crossbow with an arrow or firework
      • Observe that the crossbow is on the right of the screen, not the center
      • Equip the shield
      • Observe that the crossbow is now in the center of the screen, clipping through the shield

      Expected results:
The crossbow is held in the center of the screen when offhand is empty or hold a map/arrows

      Observed results:
      Exactly opposite of what's expected.

Real talk, how did this even get past playtesting for nearly 3 minor updates now...?
