Game frequently crashes when using blocks that pull up the inventory (anything with a GUI)

Frequently, when I access the GUI of a block and try to move items within my inventory or from my inventory into the block’s inventory, the game will first become somewhat unresponsive, in that it will register a few taps on the screen, then the game will become wholly unresponsive, where nothing I do will be registered, and then the game crashes, sending me to the home screen on my phone. This happened upwards of five times in about three and a half hours while playing on a LAN server I was hosting from my phone (hopefully that’s the correct terminology). I can’t recall if this ever happened while the other player was NOT in the world, but it is possible that it did.
Returning to the game after the crash, it reverts to what was most likely the previous auto save.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Player 1 opens a multiplayer world
      2. Player 2 joins the world
      3. Player 1 opens chests, hoppers, furnaces, anvils, etc. and moves items from the block’s inventory to their inventory, items from their inventory to the block’s inventory, or moves items around within their own inventory.
      4. Repeat step 3 until game becomes unresponsive and crashes.
