I owned Minecraft: Java Edition on my Mojang account I created several years ago. Around July of 2018, I redeemed a Microsoft code that gave me Minecraft: Windows 10 for free on my Microsoft account.

A few days ago, I heard about the new launcher, and merged my accounts. When I opened the new launcher and logged in, it gave me an error at the bottom of my screen: "Oh no! Something went wrong, and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services. Try again"

I've seen some people have issues where they are in offline mode, but it prompts me to play the demo and to buy Windows 10 Edition. Do I no longer own either version of the game? I went back to the old Minecraft launcher, logged in to my newly merged Microsoft account, and it opens Minecraft just fine. I even checked my firewall, and it is set to allow Minecraft Launcher processes.

On top of that, I have the Xbox PC Game Pass, and even opening the launcher through there gives me the same problem. I can't find anyone else with the exact same problem. Help?
