Description:

• 6 year old son (P1) logged into the game. I don't know if he selected online or offline game
• P1 pressed touchpad button to bring up friends interface
• I (P2) held down L3 to join the game with my character
• Character selection showed "CREATE NEW"
• P2 immediately pressed X button to create character rather than using L1/L2 to select my character (I think save/load rotating circle icon was being displayed at this point
• P2 immediately pressed O button to cancel
• New level 1 character was available to select and old character was no longer available

Very frustrating as you can imagine and has taken some of the shine off the game for my son.
