Sometimes I like to test seeds in Minecraft, and to do so I will load seeds in creative, explore for a few minutes, exit, and try a new seed.

Well, something peculiar. Exiting while music is playing still continues to play uninterrupted at the menu screen, and will continue to play even into the next world that opens. If it is early enough into the music, the next world will load music as well, creating quite the audio displeasure.

I would have expected, as in the past up until 1.8.9 (I never did try the preview versions), that the new world load or even going to the menu screen would cut the music and start a new track. This it does not.
