What I expected to happen was...:
To receive a buff or a debuff effect after splashing myself with a splash potion and get an area of effect of a buff/debuff after use of lingering potion.

What actually happened was...:
The potion was trown and particles was shown upon landing (same color no matter what potion was used) but no potion effect was received nor by player nor by nearby creatures. Same problem with the lingering potions, no effect, same color particles with all potions no area of effect.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Trow a lingering or splash potion of any kind.
