When iron bars are next to a wall on one sidean air on the other, when looking west (for east to west bars) or north(for north to south bars) at them, the bars do not match what they would iftherewas not air on the other side.
Recreation:
Place 2 solid blocks on top of each other
Next to them on 1 side, place 2 iron bars so the bars are on top of each other
Next to the bottom bar on the opposite side of the blocks, place any block so that the bottom bars attach to it
From one side,t he bars will line up but from the other, they will not
The image shows 2 identical setups and the top bars for one of them is not in line, just because of the direction they are being looked at
