java.lang.IllegalStateException: failed to create a child event loop prevents me from playing Minecraft. It has been 4-5 months since this error occurred to me.
I expected the game would run normally
In the morning I went to get on and play for a bit.
The Errors
What ACTUALLY happened is that when I tried to log into a multiplayer server, it will say that I failed to connect because: java.lang.NullPointerException: group. (The picture is shown on the attachment.)
Then, when trying to play on a single player world, the game will crash and the first part of the descriptions will be:
Description: Updating screen events
"java.lang.IllegalStateException: failed to create a child event loop
at io.nettyutil.concurrent.MultithreadEventExecutorGroup."- and so on...
Steps to Reproduce:
I never mod, hack, or etc. This means that there is no way to encounter the error, unless, the error decides to encounter you.
--Recall other victims--
Many people has encountered this error, and had it fixed by removing their antivirus, reinstalling it, or etc. The problem with my experience is that I have attempt to do the same thing, and unfortunately, it didn't go out as planned.
As summarized, it has been since July and this report has been posted on the first of November (It has been 4-5 months already). The reason why I didn't do this early was because:
1) I was trying to find ways to fix the error without messing with McAffe, my antivirus.
2) To be honest, I never found this site.
--Ending Paragraph--
Thank you if there is a way to fix this error.
This report may be long, but people has to know so others won't encounter-well- "be encountered" by java.lang.IllegalStateException: failed to create a child event loop
