Villager are not picking up or trading beetroots or beetroot seeds. This includes:
Villagers, after they mine fully grown beetroot crops, are not picking up the items.
Farmer villagers will not replant beetroot crops.
Farmer villagers will not trade beetroots or beetroot seeds with the players, as they would with carrots and potatoes.
Villagers will not throw beetroots or beetroot seeds at each other in order to make them willing, as they would with other crops.
The implications of this are that villages will eventually lose all of their beetroots, because they are being mined and never placed again. When I find villages, I see large amounts of beetroots and beetroot seeds that the villagers are neglecting to pick up.
I expected villagers to treat beetroots like any other crop, trading and farming them happily.
But instead, they simply did not care about the beetroots in any way other than to mine them.
1.Find a village(or use your fancy structure block to make one for you)
2. Notice how the beetroots are being neglected.
P.S. Structure blocks should be used by us in some way to generate our own structures!
