If you give a foal an apple for example to speed up the growth it will be unable to be trained once it grows up. Once it is an adult and you left click on it with an empty just like you would to train any other horse it doesn't let you on it. It teleports you beside it instead of on it making it impossible to train it. But this bug doesn't happen if you let the foal grow up naturally.
