A minor bug, that any armor stand is looking south, regardless of their position. You can see that they're facing south when you use the F3+b debug option. As far as I've seen, it doesn't effect other mobs (screenshot attached; it shows a creeper looking east, while all other entities (armor stands) are looking south (look at the one in the very back; it's facing east, but looking south)
