Using the seed above, I went to the coords -47, 11, 50 and dug a 250 block long 1x2 tunnel 250 blocks long north and didn't find a single diamond. This test was done due to me noticing a lack of diamonds in a survival world with the same world.
It may have something to do with the faster ore generation, as mentioned in the update history for the 'Ore' page in Minecraft Wiki (found here: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Ore ). However, I will comment to see if it has to do with outdated Java, though I doubt it.

Note: I updated Java and generated a new test world. I then found diamonds.
