I found that leads were duplicating when i was using them to drag horses and donkey through nether portals. Some of the times I would get two dropping on the side of the nether portal that i was on, but more commonly one would drop one either side of the nether portal.

I discovered this while playing on a server in Sydney Australia with myself being in Perth. I went from 6 leads to 23
