In the 1.8pre 3 minecraft runs very smoothly for me. It runs better then it ever has. However in the 1.8 release minecraft lags out.

I was happy for 1.8 to be released because of the performance improvements, but today I tried out the 1.8 release and it lagged out on me. it did not run as smoothly as it did for me in the 1.8pre 3 and it would freeze for a second as I am moving. I am using the VBOs and that has been what I have been using that has made 1.8 run so smoothly but in the release today it is not doing as good as it was.

I can't say how to get this problem for your self because I don't know what causes it and I don't know if it happens to anyone else. All I did was played minecraft with the 1.8 release from today and got this problem.
