Game crashed in vanilla minecraft on SP survival. On game restart, the player is stuck in stone blocks and suffocates at the same location where the game crashed.

An area of about 10x10x10 squares around the player was replaced by regular stone blocks. Everything that was there before disappeared: anvil, double chest full of items, bed, juke box, cauldron, etc.
