Minecraft crashes on login

      I can open minecraft as far as the login screen.
      I can login and the program will go as far as the Mojang Screen,
      It then crashes. The PC is unresponsive unless CTRL ALT DEL or ALT TAB is used.
      It maybe due to alterations in setting, fullscreen etc. But the program will no longer go beyond the described phases.
