For some reason, every time I use the /setblock command to set a rail (minecraft:rail) at my location, the rail will always face the North South direction, no matter what I put for [dataValue].
But then when I replace the rail beneath me with a new rail, the rail will change back to normal.
So whenever I replace an air block with rail, the direction of the rail will always be north south, no matter what I put for [dataValue], and if I replace an old rail with a new rail with different [dataValue], the new rail will be set with the correct orientation.
The command I used was:
/setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:rail [dataValue]
This problem also occurs with command block
