I expected to find a normal ice plains biome, instead there was a banding patter of ice and snow across the plains.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Created a random new world
2. Toyed around with some new redstone in a different biome and away from the ice plains chunks.
3. Went to the nether and returned
4. Attempted to find a stronghold/end portal by throwing Eyes of Ender
5. Came across the banding pattern in the ice plains biome, took screenshot and then logged out.
