My tamed wolves from 1.5 don't follow me (sit, stand, etc...) anymore in 1.7.5

What I expected to happen was...:
My wolves would follow me.

What actually happened was...:
They didn't follow me.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new world in Minecraft 1.5
2. Tame wolves in Minecraft 1.5.
3. Make the wolves sit before exiting Minecraft 1.5.
4. Go to Minecraft 1.7 and attempt to stand the wolves. It doesn't work.
