Any map I hold wether I make my own or recieve one, is covered by my left hand. it doesnt matter what size it is or where im holding it ( land , horse , boat etc ). I drop it and pick it back up, select a different space on the hotbar, put it in an item frame then hold it again. I've tried everything to make it go away. The only way I can view a map is in an item frame.
