Affects Version/s: Minecraft 1.7.4, Minecraft 1.7.5
Fix Version/s: None
Java is updated to 1.7.0_51 on a Win 7 64 Bit
This appears to be a BUG that has been pushed aside in several posts so I am essentially duplicating an issue with the notion that this is an issue.
The server is played consistently by 4 players, 11 white-listed but no more than 4 ever on. There is 2G of RAM allocated and it is running on 'Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6750'. 2 TB of Hard drive space -
Primary Issue : Server is randomly shutting down stating "Connection Lost - Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". At first we thought this was a setting on the PC in the background, either in Java, FW or anti-virus in which was monitoring network activity and kicking connections longer than X minutes. However, the time is inconsistent. It can be as short as 20 minutes or go hours before it happens again. Each time it happens a speed test is ran and other internet media is tested with seamless activity. After hours of exhaustive community searches we have found nothing but the complaint or acknowledgment of said error.
Please advise on any steps that would be recommended in this situation -
Clean download of MC_Server (Tried from JAR and EXE) this is Vanilla, absolutely no MODS of any sort. Any direction really would be greatly appreciated - Tomorrow (later today) we will try a 1.6.X version to see if the error still happens (Don't expect it) - Will update status within 48 hours (Give it time to crash or stay on) -
In the mean time... if you have any suggestions or if there is a post I missed with the fix to this irritation. Please do not hesitate to direct/list it as I will keep my eyes on this until resolved.
Thank you !
