I don't know if it dose it in the earlier snapshots but in 14w07a if you go into spectator mode and spectat a mob then camera will only face in 1 direction. The camera may or may not be facing the same direction as the mob and if the mode moves there head the camera view still stays the same only time it changes is when the mob walks/flies around
