Recently I've been having trouble changing my player skin. I upload a new skin, and the site says the skin was uploaded successfully, but in-game my skin stays as the one I had previously. This state often lasts for a day or more before being resolved.
The skin server is functional as indicated by help.mojang.com and sends me skins as normal, but won't change the skin it has stored to a new one. Unlike normal skin server trouble, my skin is not default 'Steve' during these periods. It is behaving as if the server did not receive my request to change my skin.
Due to the unusual nature of this issue, I cannot tell if this is an issue with the skin server or my client. I have checked the Mojang Support Center to no avail, and though I have noticed a few people with the same issue on the forums, they are largely ignored and the few replies they have are unhelpful.
If this is not a bug with the game and in fact just the skin server being under strain, I would at least like confirmation that this is the case when the report is closed.
