Stand on a pressure plate with a flame enchanted bow. Quickly fire the arrow and into the pressure plate and immediately engage flight mode so you do not pick up the arrow. As you will see, the arrow does not immediately become on fire and takes around 3-4 seconds to light itself on fire.
