Launcher crashes with 'Fatal error detected by Java runtime environment'

      Downloaded 1.7.4 launcher. Last ran with 1.6.4... Double-clicking on launcher starts 1.7.4 game window, screen blanks then launcher re-appears. Development Console tab has following near bottom:
