Main Menu screen Is Messed Up

      I start Minecraft and after I click play on the launcher, the screen goes black. Then I see part of the screen in the bottom left and cant drag it or anything. If I click it, the screen goes completely black. Please help! This only happens with the 1.7.4 update! I will provide a picture.
