Once I open the minecraft launcher and am at the news page, I click play and the blue bar takes forever to load, and once it finally does (after about twenty minutes) minecraft doesn't open. No matter what version i try to play or profile i choose, i still face this issue.
What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the game to open up

What actually happened was...:
the blue bar took forever to load, and then the play button was unclickable
