Flowing water behaves strangely.

When I break an ice cube, sometimes it just disappear (when it is in a 1 block hole), sometimes water goes only 2 or 3 blocks away from the source and only in certain directions (not in all directions on 7 blocks).

And sometimes when I place a block for dry a source and remove it, I have odd results like on the pictures below.
