What I expected to happen was...:
Regular use of plants

What actually happened was...:
When picking up a flower and looking at it (after the update) I now have a complete change in the view-ability of the blocks

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In any 1.7 world i pick up a flower
2. If that does not trigger it, holding it in my hand does
