When I was playing Minecraft (both creative and Survival on singleplayer and multiplayer) Whenever I or someone else would pick up an item my the world would go black or invisible except for the sky, animals, and players.

My friend doesn't have this problem, probably because he has windows 7 and the problem might only be for 8.

It only started in the new snapshots and in 1.7.2
