End Portals built in creative mode won't activate.-- Client and Server

      When I tried to build an End Portal in creative, it didn't activate when I placed all the eyes. I tried standing in the middle but it won't teleport me anywhere at all. I tried it on Client and my Server. Minecraft 1.4.4 Vanilla.
