Creating two portals which will spawn overlapping each other is now possible. Works with any size, even if portals are the default old 4*6 size.

The part where the two portals overlap will turn invisible, but still has a wireframe when moused over. The direction will match with one portal, but not the other.

I expected this to either stop the second portal from being created (as portal blocks are in the way when you make it) or create a cross shaped nether portal block to fill the middle without looking glitchy.

Also, it seems that you can remove the obsidian blocks on the side that these invisible portal blocks are not pointing in to, and both portals will stay. But if you remove the obsidian on the side that the invisible portal blocks are pointing into, both portals will go.

This is not a duplicate, MC-30796 is a completely different issue. Please can a mod reopen.
