Ok basically, when I was practicing my 1.16 bastion routes, I jumped off a ledge and landed on a gold block. I tried to mine it, but then I took damage and then proceeded to get absolutely launched into the air and fell then died.

What I expected to happen was...:
I should've just landed on the goldblock, and took 1/2 heart of damage.

What actually happened was...:
I ended up getting super boosted into the sky right when I landed and took damage

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I dont even know how to reproduce, probably jump off the same spot, land on gold, and try to use a TAS or sm to replicate the exact timing.
