Throwing an ender pearl through a portal or gateway often results in the player being placed slightly too low

When transiting an end gateway via ender pearl, the player is very often (it seems deterministic and dependent on what surrounding blocks are available) placed in a location where they fall through the floor or off an edge. This also happens when throwing an ender pearl into the end fountain (or any end portal in the end); it does not happen when throwing an ender pearl into an end portal in the overworld. This does not happen when simply moving into a portal or gateway, so it's probably related to the ender pearl changes in 24w37a.

To reproduce, just do what I did in vid1080p.mp4. Most likely you will be able to repro with different platform types or no platform at all.
