This report used to be just about Item Displays, but as it turns out it's with the /tp command in general, my mistake.
Attempting to teleport an entity to the player's location using ~ ~ ~ will cause it to teleport at itself, despite it saying in chat that it teleported to the player's location.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Summon any entity
- Type in a /tp command and either use the entity's UUID or @n[type=entity], an example being /tp (entity) ~ ~ ~
Expected Results: The entity is teleported to the player's current location.
Observed Results: The entity is teleported to itself despite the feedback stating it was teleported.
A video is attached showing how /tp teleports an Item Display entity to itself, another video showcases a Husk being teleported up 5 blocks adjacent to itself despite the chat saying it was teleported 5 blocks above my current position.
