The desert rabbits run in place, stuck, next to the block they're facing and won't move until a player goes nearby them. I will attach a video of this happening as I am in spectator mode showing the desert bunnies running into the sand blocks and then moving as soon as I appear into survival mode. This happens to all of them. They will act normal and then as they're running, they get stuck running!
