      The Bug

      Introduced in 24w21a.

Entering an End portal makes you spawn on the obsidian platform facing the rotation of your player before you entered the portal. For example, if you entered the End facing 100°, you will spawn on the platform facing 100° instead of west.

However, as far as I am aware, this change was never announced in the changelogs.

It also can confuse the player, as in 1.20.6, the player always spawned facing west (towards the center of the End island), which is where they are likely to go.

      How to Reproduce

      See this video: MC-272879.mp4

      1. Create an End portal and light it using Eyes of Ender.
      2. Open the F3 debug screen and note your rotation (preferably don't face west).
      3. Enter the End portal while facing the direction noted above.
      4. Note how your rotation is the same as from when you entered.
      5. Trying this in 24w20a or below makes you face west when you enter.
