Whenever block entities are predicted to be broken on the client but later are confirmed to not be broken by the server the server doesn't send block entity information / the client doesn't remember the block entity information.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Start a server with spawn protection
- Op yourself
- Op another player (to enable spawn protection)
- Place a sign and write some text on it
- Deop yourself
- Break the sign
You will see that the client thought the sign could be broken and thus removed block entity data. Either re-logging or reloading the chunks will cause the sign to display properly.
