Expansion B
When the player starts an ominous event (previously just a raid), cloud particles will no longer show at the player's feet when the effect expires and the event begins. The particles signify the event is starting and the effect being lost, so this is unusual for it to be missing now. This may be an intentional change, though it is not stated anywhere in the patch notes for 24w13a with the changes to bad omen.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Spawn a villager nearby
- Place a bed nearby
- Get bad omen
/effect give @p minecraft:bad_omen infinite 5 false
- (Optional) Tick sprint to speed up test:
/tick sprint 20s
Observed Behavior:
A raid will start, and bad omen will be removed, but the cloud particles will not show.
Expected Behavior:
The cloud particles would show, as they serve a gameplay purpose to the player, and used to display in a previous version.
