Summary:
Using a water bottle to fill a cauldron with water or transforming dirt into mud in creative mode without an empty bottle in the inventory results in obtaining an empty bottle.
Closely related to MC-203597, this issue also emerges in the initial 1.17 snapshot. If MC-203597 is unintentional, using a water bottle should not yield an empty bottle in creative mode either. It's surprising that nobody has reported this yet.
Steps to reproduce:
- Place a cauldron in creative mode.
- Obtain a water bottle.
- Ensure there are no glass bottles in your inventory.
- Fill the cauldron with water from the bottle.
Observed results:
The observed result is receiving a glass bottle, contrary to the behavior in version 1.16.5.
Observed results:
The expected result is not obtaining a glass bottle, consistent with version 1.16.5. The identical behavior occurs when using the water bottle on dirt instead of a cauldron.
