In creative mode, when swapping a damaged armor piece with another piece of the same slot type in the hotbar, the equipped piece will clone their damage to the swapped piece.
To reproduce:
- Execute "/give @s minecraft:diamond_helmet{Damage:300}"
- Execute "/give @s minecraft:leather_helmet"
- First equip the leather helmet.
- Use the diamond helmet on the hotbar to swap it with the leather helmet.
- Execute "/data get entity @s SelectedItem" with the leather helmet in hand.
- The command shows that the leather helmet now has 300 damage, like the diamond one.
If equiped the damaged diamond helmet first and later the leather helmet, then the diamond one will have their damage reset to 0.
- Dont matter the damage amount.
- This only happens on creative mode.
- This happens with every armor.
- The two armor pieces needs to be for the same slot.
- This only affects the durability and not any item data.
