If you try to join a 1.20.2 server where you are not whitelisted, you get message "You are not white-listed on this server!"
On 23w40a-41a, that message doesn't appear and instead
Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.io.IOException: Packet login/0 (aeh) was larger
than I expected, found 43 bytes extra whilst reading packet 0
is displayed.
Reproduction Steps
- Start a 23w41a server (after agreeing to EULA)
- Stop the server and change server.properties whitelist value to true and start it again
- Connect to the server
You are shown an Internal Exception message.
"You are not white-listed on this server!" does still show up in the server log.
