The azalea was against a wall, and the villager(s) walked into the azalea and got stuck in the corner between the wall and the azalea.

When a villager is pathfinding toward its bed, it normally jumps over any blocks that is in its way. However, this is not the case with azalea for some unknown reason. The villager doesn't go around the azalea either, instead it keeps walking forward. (Most likely causing the villager to very slowly slide away from the azalea.) This is more of an annoyance than anything else though. (Here's a video of me freeing villagers from the azalea. drive.google.com Sorry about the terrible quality of said video, my laptop is pretty bad.)
