The Bug:
Capes improperly follow the movement of players that are crawling or swimming.
It appears that the position of a cape changes in relation to the movement of the player. While this is fine, this causes some issues when the player crawls or swims. For example, when a player swims at high speeds, their cape will be positioned too high up and in a way that appears illogical. This is because capes aren't angled differently when players are swimming.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Ensure that you have a cape enabled.
- Give yourself the water breathing and dolphin's grace effects by using the commands provided below.
/effect give @s minecraft:water_breathing infinite 0 true
/effect give @s minecraft:dolphins_grace infinite 0 true
- Switch to third person, begin swimming at high speeds, and watch your cape closely.
- Take note as to whether or not capes improperly follow the movement of players that are crawling or swimming.
Observed Behavior:
Capes improperly follow the movement of players that are crawling or swimming, causing capes to be angled too high up when moving while crawling or swimming.
Expected Behavior:
Capes would properly follow the movement of players that are crawling or swimming.
