Expansion A
The Bug:
The "Sneak 100" advancement is granted when sneaking near sculk sensors or wardens while standing on top of wool or carpets.
The "Sneak 100" advancement requires you to "Sneak near a Sculk Sensor or Warden to prevent it from detecting you", however, when the player is standing on top of wool or carpet, their vibrations are dampened, therefore sneaking isn't necessary to prevent sculk sensors or wardens from detecting your movement.
With this being said, one would expect the "Sneak 100" advancement to not be granted when sneaking near sculk sensors or wardens while standing on top of wool or carpets. The reason for this is because the wool/carpet is preventing a vibration from being detected in the first place, not the actual sneaking itself.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Build the setup as shown in the provided attachment. setup.png
- Revoke the "Sneak 100" advancement from yourself by using the command provided below.
/advancement revoke @s only minecraft:adventure/avoid_vibration
- While standing on top of the wool, begin sneaking and move around.
- Take note as to whether or not the "Sneak 100" advancement is granted when sneaking near sculk sensors or wardens while standing on top of wool or carpets.
Observed Behavior:
The "Sneak 100" advancement is granted.
Expected Behavior:
The "Sneak 100" advancement would not be granted. The reason for this is because the wool/carpet is preventing a vibration from being detected in the first place, not the actual sneaking itself.
