The Bug:
The word "customization" and its variations within the game's translation keys aren't always spelled in American English.
Minecraft's source language, (which is English, United States), always spells words in American English, however, the word "customization" and its variations within the game's translation keys aren't always spelled in American English. This word and its variations should always be spelled with the letter "z" instead of the letter "s" to maintain consistency.
Affected Translation Keys:
Before reading the table, please note the following:
- Words colored in GREEN are correct.
- Words colored in RED are incorrect.
Current Translation Key Name | Expected Translation Key Name |
---|---|
createWorld.customize.buffet.title | createWorld.customize.buffet.title |
createWorld.customize.flat.title | createWorld.customize.flat.title |
selectWorld.recreate.customized.text | selectWorld.recreate.customized.text |
options.skinCustomisation.title | options.skinCustomization.title |
options.skinCustomisation | options.skinCustomization |
Steps to Reproduce:
- Display any of the affected translation key's contents as listed above by using the commands provided below.
/tellraw @s {"translate":"options.skinCustomisation.title"}
/tellraw @s {"translate":"options.skinCustomisation"}
- Take note of how either of the commands was executed successfully, therefore indicating that non-English US spelling is required within these two particular translation keys.
Observed Behavior:
The word "customization" and its variations aren't always spelled in American English.
Expected Behavior:
The word "customization" and its variations would always be spelled in American English to maintain consistency.
